YET ANOTHER ACCURATE AND REALISTIC PREDICTION
1. Jacksonville – Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Jacksonville gets their franchise QB, next.
2. New York Jets – Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
New York could go Zach Wilson, but after Fields’s show on his 2nd Pro Day, Jets should go in a different direction.
3. San Francisco – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
The 49ers planned Fields or Mac Jones at this pick. However, with Fields to the Jets, the Niners select Wilson.
4. Atlanta – Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
The Falcons get some protection for Matt Ryan.
5. Cincinnati – Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Cincy reunites Joey Burrow with former LSU teammate Chase, the best receiver in this draft class.
6. Miami – Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern
Miami passes on Devonta Smith for protection for Tua.
7. Detroit – Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Detroit select the uber-talented linebacker from Penn to anchor their defense.
8. Carolina – Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
Carolina get protection for Sam Darnold/Teddy Bridgewater.
9. Denver – Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
Drew Lock is the not the man in Denver. Lance is a monster on the field and in the training room.
10. Dallas – Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
Jerry Jones is reportedly in love with Pitts and what’s not to like; he’s 6’6 and has 4’4 speed and he can block.
11. New York Giants – Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
The Giants get a speedy weapon for Daniel Jones.
12. Philadelphia – Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
Philly needs a corner and why not get the best one in the class.
13. Los Angeles Chargers – DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
This may be the lowest Smith will fall, but the Chargers get a stud at 13.
14. Minnesota – Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
The Vikes may need a QB or lineman, but they get the versatile LB/S hybrid from the Fighting Irish.
15. New England – Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
It’s unlikely that Stephon Gilmore returns to the Pats, so they get his replacement in Horn.
16. Arizona – Alijah Vera-Tucker, OG, USC
Kyler Murray was one of the most sacked QBs in 2020, Tucker will fix this problem.
17. Oakland – Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia
Oakland has experienced pass rushing issues since Khalil Mack was traded. Ojulari is fast and strong, which is what the Raiders need.
18. Miami – Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
I swear I have an addiction with mocking Harris here, but he’s too much of a beast for Miami to pass up.
19. Washington – Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
Jones’s fall lands him in Washington, who develops his talent by sitting him behind Ryan Fitzpatrick.
20. Chicago – Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
With all the first round QBs gone, the Bears settle for the speedy Bateman.
21. Indianapolis – Gregory Rousseau, EDGE, Miami (FL)
Indy gets a big pass rusher from Miami.
22. Tennessee – Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama
Barmore can push through opposing O-lines like a knife through butter, just the type of player Mike Vrabel loves.
23. New York Jets – Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
The best running back, in my opinion. His receiving skills rival his rushing talent.
24. Pittsburgh – Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern
Newsome is probably the highest rising defensive player after a stellar season at Northwestern.
25. Jacksonville – Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami (FL)
Jacksonville spent their first pick on their franchise quarterback and here they grab a big edge man.
26. Cleveland – Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky
Davis is a big linebacker who can clog running lanes better than most of the other linebackers in this class.
27. Baltimore – Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU
Baltimore still has Deshone Elliot, who exceeded expectations at safety last year. However, he could use a running mate and Moehrig is that man.
28. New Orleans – Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas
Protection for either Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill can’t hurt.
29. Green Bay – Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Farley’s fall lands him in Green Bay, a team that could use his talents. Farley could improve beside Jaire Alexander (Kevin King).
30. Buffalo – Javonte Williams, RB, North Carolina
Javonte’s brilliant Pro Day bumps him to the first round. The Bills Mafia will love this pick.
31. Kansas City – Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan
Paye fell hard in this mock and would be a steal for the Chiefs.
32. Tampa Bay – Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
TB12 needs some protection.
Moehrig to the Packers at 29 if he falls.
Moehrig is an elite talent, but I don’t see how he fits in the Packers 3-4 scheme.
