Olympics, Westbrook, and Rodgers Outlook

Durant, Westbrook, Rodgers

THE RETURN OF WEEKLY BOLD PREDICTIONS

1. USA Men’s Basketball Team Loses Out on Medal in the Olympics

We’re in uncharted territory for USA basketball. Unfortunately, the situation may grow even more embarrassing. For those who do not know, the USA men have suffered two consecutive losses. Nigeria, a team with ZERO NBA starters, handed the USA its first defeat. Note: The USA smoked Nigeria by 50 points at their last meeting. Soon after, the team lost to Australia who were without their two best players, Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving. Meanwhile, the Red, White, and Blue’s roster includes Kevin Durant (a MVP and NBA champion), Damian Lillard (All-NBA First-teamer), Jayson Tatum (All-Star), Donavan Mitchell (All-Star), and a supporting cast of Devin Booker, Khris Middleton, and Bam Abedayo. For a young team with little international experience, this may be a rough Olympics.

2. Russell Westbrook Traded to the Celtics

This prediction may appear out of left field, but hear me out. In 2020, Westbrook was a force on a weak Wizards team and could possibly be looking to leave Washington. Recently, the Celtics traded free agency bust Kemba Walker to the Thunder and changed head coaches. Boston is in need of a point guard and the Wizards need draft capital; therefore, my proposition, Celtics receive Westbrook and the Wizards receive 3 first round picks.

3. Aaron Rodgers Reports to Packers Camp

Aaron Rodgers cannot beat the Packers in his hold out attempt. The Packers organization successfully stood their ground and the trade market evaporated. While Rodgers does not NEED to play for the Packers these season, he stands to lose out on loads of money if he does. Rodgers maintains the current QB1 position on the Green Bay roster and if he returns he will not lose his job. But Rodgers’ has missed out on meeting his new teammates and returning vets. I foresee Rodgers returning to Lambeau for one more year before passing the baton to Jordan Love.
