NFL Week 9 Takeaways

THE WHISTLEBLOWER’S PICKS

1. The Bengals Slide Again

After a loss to the New York Jets in Week 8, the Cincinnati Bengals were expected to bounce back. However, Cincy put up yet another L against the Cleveland Browns. Joe Burrow was off on many of his throws and turned the ball over twice. The Bengals dramatically fell from first to worst in their division, but, hopefully, they can salvage the season.

2. Say Goodbye to Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold has had his chance(s) in the NFL, and he has underperformed mighty. Big disappointment, because we were rooting for him and his new gig in Carolina! Darnold had a good start, but he has thrown more picks than TDs in four games. The Panthers seem ready to move on, and the NFL may be out of his grasp now.

3. Jordan Love Needs More Time

The Green Bay Packers had an awful performance in Week 9, but it wasn’t all on Jordan Love. Love got going too late, but the Pack made some special team mistakes and missed two field goals. Come on, Mason! Love will see the field soon, but not too soon.

4. The Bills, What Happened?

The Week 9 Buffalo Bills were simply tragic. The Bills had one of the worst performances ever seen in the Josh Allen era. Buffalo did not generate any offense in all four quarters and didn’t even look like they were trying to. Allen missed big deep passes, and three turnovers didn’t help.
