NFL Week 7 Takeaways

THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY

1. Seeing Ghosts, Vol 3

When you lose to a team down two of their star players and score ONLY three points in the first half, well, your QB is going to catch the blame. Sam Darnold looked like a deer in the middle of a highway, terrified of absolutely everything. Darnold was benched for PJ Walker in the second half, which leaves questions at the QB position in Carolina.

2. The Bengals are Legit

Cincy not only beat their division rival, the 5-1 Ravens, they destroyed them. The Bengals threw all over a weak Ravens pass defense. Joe Burrow posted 400 plus yards, while Jamarr Chase had 201 receiving yards. The Ravens need to figure out their D to have a postseason chance.

3. The Jets are Terrible

The Pats blew the Jets out of the water. Furthermore, disaster struck, and rookie QB Zach Wilson will be out for two weeks with a new injury. Robert Saleh and his defense are not looking settled. They allowed a below-average offense to drop 54 on them.

4. Henry Cooks KC

Kansas City loves BBQ, but not burnt meat. The Titans roasted the Chiefs in Week 7 with Derrick Henry and the Titans D making a fiery statement. Patrick Mahomes looked rough, threw a bad pick and ultimately, got hurt in the 4th quarter. The Chiefs are now below .500, and it’s gonna be a tough climb back to the top.

5. Matt Nagy is Done

The Bucs destroyed the Bears, and Justin Fields was exposed. Is he to blame though? Matt Nagy’s play calls have not been good, and have left a massive power vacuum among QBs. Nagy will miss this week with COVID, and perhaps he has called his last game?
