NFL Mock Draft 2021 FINAL VERSION

THE LAST WORD

4th and out – seriously, this is our last word. We’re pretty hyped for tomorrow’s draft! Admittedly, we’ve been playing the field when it comes to Fields. It’s hard to pinpoint where he’ll land. What’s your prediction?

1. Jacksonville – Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

Next.

2. New York Jets – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

Unless the Jets consider Fields here, I believe they end up with the BYU man.

3. San Francisco – Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State

Apparently, the Niners are no longer interested in Fields, which may be a smoke screen, but I would pick Lance over Mac Jones any day.

4. Atlanta – Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

In the end, Pitts may be the best the player in this class.

5. Cincinnati – Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon

Hopefully, the Bengals don’t bungle this pick.

6. Miami – DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

Tua gets a familiar weapon and a Heisman Trophy winner.

7. Detroit  – Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

The Lions pass on a QB for the best receiver in this class.

8. Carolina – Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern

Slater says he’s the best tackle in this year’s prospects, so Carolina grabs him at 8.

9. Denver – Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

Denver grabs Fields at 9; Elway rejoices.

10. Dallas – Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

Horn has been hyping himself up for the last few weeks and Dallas needs a corner, so they pick him over Surtain.

11. New York Giants – Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

New York gets a weapon for Danny Picks to turn him into Danny Dimes (fingers crossed).

12. Philadelphia – Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

Philly traded for Darius Slay, who had an average season, so they pick up Patrick Surtain, the son.

13. Los Angeles – Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

The Bolts get protection for Justin Herbert.

14. Minnesota – Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

Minnesota gets the LB-S hybrid from Notre Dame.

15. New England – Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State

The Pats pass on a QB, for Parsons, an elite talent at linebacker.

16. Arizona – Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern

Pat P left the desert for the icy landscape of Minneapolis; Newsome is a speedy man, who replaces Peterson well.

17. Las Vegas – Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia

Clein Ferrell has not panned out for Vegas, but Ojulari could solve the edge problem.

18. Miami – Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

Miami grabs another Bama man.

19. Washington – Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

Jones falls to the Football Team, but I don’t see him starting immediately.

20. Chicago – Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

Chicago will probably grab a QB in the later rounds, so here they go with Bateman.

21. Indianapolis – Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan

Justin Houston is a free agent, so Paye would replace him at this spot.

22. Tennessee – Joseph Ossai, EDGE, Texas

With Paye off the board, the Titans snag Ossai, the powerful rusher from the Longhorns.

23. New York Jets – Alijah Vera-Tucker, OG, USC

The Jets get their future QB with Wilson, so they go with a tackle to protect him

24. Pittsburgh – Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

Pittsburgh could do with a corner here, but with Newsome off the board – they go with Barmore, a run stuffer.

25. Jacksonville – Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

Jacksonville picks up protection for Trevor Lawrence.

26. Cleveland – Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky

Cleveland can’t rely on Malcom Smith to make plays for them at LB; Davis is as fast as he is strong.

27. Baltimore – Elijah Moore, WR, Mississippi

Lamar needs receiving help. Moore reminds me of AB’s movement and athleticism.

28. New Orleans – Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

Garner-Johnson has had off-field issues in his 3 year tenure. Moehrig could start Day 1 and that’s what the Saints need on D.

29. Green Bay – Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Green Bay needs a speedy hybrid linebacker – Collins is their solution.

30. Buffalo – Creed Humphrey, OC, Oklahoma

Mitch Morse is good, but aging. Buffalo is preparing for the long game with Josh Allen, so they’ll need long-term protection.

31. Baltimore – Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson

Baltimore traded Orlando Brown Jr. to the Chiefs for another first-round pick. Potentially, they pair the tough-running style of J.K. Dobbins with the swift, agile style of Etienne.

32. Gregory Rousseau – EDGE, Miami (FL)

The Bucs have Shaq Barrett and JPP, but JPP is getting up there in age. The Bucs could use a replacement.
