Deshaun Watson Landing Spots

THE TOP 3

Potential Deshaun Watson landing spots are a continual discussion. Watson, the embattled Texans QB, demanded a trade from Houston before scandal and legal issues diminished his chances. However, with Watson reporting to Texans camp and his legal troubles beginning to subside, there is a chance of a deal in the near future.

Here’s the Top 3 potential Deshaun Watson landing spots:

1. Philadelphia Eagles

Sure, the Eagles have Jalen Hurts, and I’m a big fan of Hurts and expect him to be the future franchise quarterback. With a weak NFC East and a new head coach Nick Sirianni, Hurts will need a huge year to show the Eagles brass that he is worth the QB1 job. However, the Eagles have been tied to Watson trade rumors for the past few months. Watson would be a great fit in the Eagles new spread system. With the picks to make an offer, the Eagles could be a frontrunner.

2. Denver Broncos

Denver has been actively involved in every QB trade rumor this offseason: from Aaron Rodgers to Russell Wilson. Many expected the Broncos to select a QB in this year’s draft, but Denver drafted cornerback Pat Surtain ll. Meanwhile, Drew Lock, the Broncos 2020 second round pick, was a disappointment last season. The Broncos appear to have given up on their young QB. Perhaps Locke will be more motivated after the Teddy Bridgewater trade for Teddy Bridgewater. If that plan fails, expect interest in Watson.

3. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have win-now mentality written all over their organization. Tua experienced some ups and downs in his rookie season and even sat out Week 8. As a result, Miami reloaded on weapons this offseason, adding receiver Will Fuller in free agency and receiver Jaylen Waddle in the draft. The Fins also have an elite defense after some wise draft picks. Miami has the draft capital to make a deal and may challenge Buffalo in the AFC East. Watson could be an insurance plan.

Really the Watson woes are a small part of the Texans demise.
