Championship Weekend Predictions

AFC

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs

Bengals 27, Chiefs 23

Maybe I am caught up in the Joe Burrow hype a little too much; however, I truly believe the Bengals can upset the Chiefs. Burrow had a “meh” albeit courageous game against the Titans. Seriously, nine sacks! Thankfully, Joe Mixon and the defense stepped up. On the other hand, the Chiefs are fresh off an OT thriller against Buffalo. Patrick Mahomes is in his zone, but the Kansas defense looked softer than a pillow. The Bengals have potent offensive power; however, their defense will likely win the game for Cincinnati.

NFC

San Francisco 49ers @ LA Rams

49ers 21, Rams 24

Both of these teams are coming off intense divisional playoff games which ended in matching walk-off field goals. The Niners beat a very disappointing Packers squad while Los Angeles knocked out Tom Brady and the Bucs. I’m looking forward to explosive offensive performances from Cooper Kupp (IMO, the MVP) and Deebo Samuel, who had a fantastic year. Matthew Stafford has been successful in the playoffs, while Jimmy G is an above-average game manager. This game will come down to a QB duel with Stafford on top.
