BRYCE YOUNG
Best Fit: Indianapolis
The questions around Young’s size could hold him back from being the first overall pick, but I believe he is this class’s best all-around player. Young has the arm talent and the IQ to make the throws and the reads. Indy is in desperate need of a young QB, no pun intended. So will they trade up for Young or will he fall to #4?
CJ STROUD
Best Fit: Houston
I don’t believe Stroud is a better QB than Young, but he is a better fit in Houston. Stroud is bigger at 6’3” and much heavier making him more durable. Houston doesn’t have the greatest offensive line and will need a more mobile passer. In time, Stroud could thrive in Houston, but he will need some weapons to excel.
WILL LEVIS
Best Fit: Atlanta
Potentially, the Falcons could choose to stick with Desmond Ridder who had flashes as a rookie. But Levis has too much talent for them to pass on him at #8. Levis, age 24, showed elite arm talent and measurables at the combine. In fact, I believe he could be a Day 1 starter for Atlanta and join other talent. Drake London is a rising star and Kyle Pitts is still extremely skilled despite a down year. Levis can step in and possibly help Atlanta contend in a weak NFC South.
ANTHONY RICHARDSON
Best Fit: Seattle
Richardson went absolutely nuclear at the combine, running a 4.4 forty and posting a 40.5 vertical leap. He also showed off his massive arm in the throwing drills, but the accuracy concerns reared their ugly head. Richardson is an amazing, but raw QB who could benefit from learning behind a veteran QB like Geno Smith. Richardson has the potential to be one of the best QBs down the road, and I believe Seattle will be a great spot to cultivate his skills.
