New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks
The Saints and the Seahawks are two teams struggling on offense. New Orleans started 5-2 under Jameis Winston and looked like real contenders, then Winston was injured and things fell apart. Same with Seattle, after Russ broke his finger, the Seahawks floundered. Wilson would be a great fit in New Orleans with Kamara and a healthy Michael Thomas to complement a genius scheme built by Sean Payton.
Possible Trade: Winston, 1st Rounder, 2nd Rounder for Wilson
Pittsburgh Steelers
Big Ben is done, his arm is done, and his time in Pittsburgh is done. Tyler Huntley is a fresh young, mobile, and surprisingly accurate QB who can get the ball down the field. Huntley will remind the Steelers of the electric runs and magical play of Kordell Stewart and has an even higher ceiling. The scheme would need some adjusting for the Steelers, but keeping a zone-read RPO offense built around Huntley and Najee Harris could set the league on fire.
Possible Trade: 3rd and 2023 2nd to Baltimore for Huntley.
Denver Broncos
Denver appeared to have found their man in Teddy Bridgewater, but things quickly fell apart after Week 3. First a nosedive to 4-8, then Bridgewater suffered a severe concussion, and Drew Lock can’t seem to get things done. Meanwhile, Watson is rumored to have his lawsuits settled on January 22 and is still potentially a Top 10 QB. Denver has the offensive talent to become a contender and is just a QB away from being a Top 5 team.
Possible Trade: 2022 1st, 2023 2nd, 2024 3rd for Watson
Detroit Lions
The Lions need a fresh start and Malik Willis from Liberty University could be the answer. Willis is the only rookie on the list for a reason, he is an absolute game-changer. For most of his last collegiate season, Willis has had a first-round grade and has been electric for Liberty. Furthermore, Willis had a great bowl game and will dominate the Senior Bowl and Combine. At best, Jared Goff has been mediocre and will be inevitably replaced.
Where do you see WFT going for QB in 22?
I think WFT will stick with Heinicke for at least one more year, but given they have a Top 10-15 pick, I could see them picking Kenny Pickett or Matt Corral.
