NFL Week 5 Studs and Duds

THE WHISTLEBLOWER’S PICKS

Stud 1: Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Bucs

Tom Brady is a stud, in general, but in Week Five against the Dolphins, he should perform above his usual standards. Miami’s defense is floundering and having a disappointing season so far. Brady should feast on Dolphin Fin Soup.

Dud 1: Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns

Baker hit a rough spot against the Vikings in spite of the Browns’ win. The news reports Mayfield has torn his labrum 1/2 around on his throwing shoulder. However, Baker will play in Week 5, but don’t expect much from him.

Stud 2: Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team

The Saints have a horrific run defense and Washington comes to town with a potent rushing attack with Gibson, who is also their WR2 behind Terry McLaurin. Washington will have their way with a weak New Orleans defense.

Dud 2: Melvin Gordon ll, Denver Broncos

The Raves exposed the Broncos in Week 4; furthermore, Melvin Gordon was not a major factor. Baltimore stifled Gordon in the rushing and receiving game. Rookie Javonte Williams is receiving more and more snaps, so don’t expect much from Gordon.

Stud 3: Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears

Darnell Mooney went off in Week 4, catching over 100 yards and a touchdown. Mooney appears to be Justin Fields’ favorite target over Allen Robinson. He is coming into his own in his second season.

Dud 3: Ceedee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Ceedee has been good thus far this season. However, Dallas has shifted their focus to the passing game, which features everyone. Even Cedrick Wilson is getting targets! Meanwhile, Amari Cooper has had a great season and a healthy Michael Gallup is returning soon. Therefore, Ceedee might see a dip in production this week.
